The end of the month is here and as it is a great tradition around the beauty circles I decided to join everyone and suggest to you my monthly favorites in a form of a collective haul. Let’s admit it – us girls have the tendency to accumulate stuff with the speed of light and when asked “why do you need all of this?” we are just as quick to justify our buys. But how many of them do you actually plan to repurchase? This was something on which I based my choices today! Do I need all of this – no, will I buy it again – I sure am! (Do any of you remember the movie “Confessions of a shopaholic”? Yeah, kind of like that.)

LAURENCE DUMONT – Soft Epilation Kit – I personally found this product while browsing around in one of the local supermarkets (Auchan, France) . I have never seen this method of epilating and I thought it was interesting and since I am always on the lookout for a more gentle way to do it I decided to try. First of all, let me tell you that if you expect to use this to achieve perfectly shaved legs it won’t work. Maybe if you are one of the more fortunate girls that don’t have the leg hairs of a primate it can do the job, but it is not the case her.(TMI?) What it did help me with was after the basic shave. This little thing made my legs so smooth and soft I was amazed. Also it helps a lot with the ingrown hair, when applied straight after the shaving (it can actually make the problem worst if you use it on a longer hair) by exfoliating the skin.

YVES ROCHER – Anti-transpirant 24H Amande de Californie – A basic product but, oh so important during the summer. I found this one very helpful and with a long duration. It has a subtle smell that is not overpowering. The product is without alcohol or paraben.

THE BODY SHOP –  Coconut Body Milk – It is not a news how much I like this brands products. I adore the idea of making the body lotion liquid and to spray it on the body. It hydrates amazingly and the aroma of coconuts is fresh and summery.

LOC – Vibrant Matte Lipstick – LOC or Love of Colors is the first BIRCHBOX original makeup brand.  This is how I got my hands on the products too. The philosophy behind the brand is to supply us with bold and pigmented products in modern, trendy shades. I would say they definitely succeeded. The lipstick I got in my BIRCHBOX is in the shade Uncorcked – a deep plumy color (You can see me with it in my Plus Size Jumpsuit Post). It has very silky and nice texture. For me it is not a true matte, more like semi – matte, but it is very hydrating on the lips and glides on like butter. Also has the usual vanilla smell that I really like.

LOC – Shadow Stick – The same BIRCHBOX brand. This shadow is creamy and very pigmented. I love the metallic glow it gives on the eye. It is perfect for using when you don’t want to take a lot of time to make a smoky eye. I would say it reminds me of the Maybelline color tattoos but the packaging here is a lot more convenient and the color is more on the orange side, something I like for this summer as you will see.

KIKO – Water Eyeshadow in the color Mandarin – I fell in love with the color of this eyeshadow. It is unique I will admit that, but imagine using it in the summer with some bronze, highlighter – you will look like a bronze goddess. The texture of the shadow is creamy, super pigmented and very easy to blend. Stay tuned for a full makeup inspiration with it.

KIKO – Radiant Touch Creamy Stick Highlighter – This highlighter I picked up with the eyeshadows. I really loved the shade and the texture of the product. Also it is really easy to apply since you don’t need a brush. It is not that much “in your face” so you can use it during the day, but at the same time gives enough of a glow to make your skin look healthy.
