If you are like me and you are always on a journey to get in shape and achieve the figure you desire you have an enemy and it’s called – SNACKING! I don’t know how many times I had managed to have a perfectly healthy day and eat all the right things until those late night cravings come and ruin everything.
During my time on the Dukan Diet I learned a lot of things. I plan to make a post about this experience, because it had been life changing in a lot of ways. It was a diet that gave me some positive and some negative effects. But the thing that I discovered during this period and I still love and use are oat bran! And no, they are not only for animals. Believe me, I know that if this is the first time you hear about an oat bran recipe you will not be impressed. They do not look that appealing, do they? But, they actually are a pretty tasty and most importantly healthy alternative – good for your diet if you want to lose weight. I am not a nutritionist, but I speak from experience. So here is what I learned about the Oat Bran:
So now that you know more about the main ingredient of my healthy cookies here is the recipe:
I start by mixing the oat bran and the cheese that I had already shredded. After that I add the eggs.
The mixture is supposed to look a little dry; it should not be liquid at all. After that I add sesame seeds, just because I like the texture it gives. Sometimes I add poppy seed too. You make little balls with the mixture, flatten them and put them on a cooking paper so they don’t stick, no oil needed.
You bake the cookies in a 250 degree for about 30 minutes, but check them from time to time; if they are golden they are ready.
It is this simple to make the cookies. I usually eat around 3 -4 a day, for breakfast or at night when I get crazy! They are pretty satisfying and to me the taste is similar to pretzels (соленки).
