I was looking for an autumn palette for a while now. Something that could give me a lot of diversity and in the same time be at acceptable price range. Of course, with so much choices out there it was easy to find one, but I wanted to try a brand I have never used before. So here came ZOEVA and the COCOA BLEND PALETTE.
In case you do not know – ZOEVA is a German brand founded in 2008. One of their biggest hits turned out to be the Cocoa Blend Palette. As you might have gathered the inspiration behind it came from the idea of the most decadent and wanted thing by all women (no, not the perfect man) – chocolate and sweets. And I can definitely see it in the color selection and I can almost taste the truffles, coco and marzipan. The COCOA BLEND PALLET is a real treat (pun intended) since it had gathered an amazing selection of shaded, ideal for the upcoming months.
The Cocoa Blend Palette came inside a beautiful packaging that immediately made me think of vintage, rich and luxurious. The golden, geometric print over a warm, brown color remind me of something that just came from between the pages of “The Great Gatsby”. The palette itself is light and secured by a magnet that closes it with ease.
Opening the Cocoa Blend Palette you are greeted by tasty selections of colors, situated into quite big pans. I could immediately see myself being able to create a lot of different makeup looks for the autumn with all the warm colors. The creators of the palette made sure not only to add shades that compliment each other, but I love that they also gave us different finishes – matte, satin, metallic, pearl.
TRYING IT OUT:
What I enjoyed a lot in the Zoeva’s Cocoa Palette while I was applying my makeup was how easy the shadows were to blend. Even when I was swatching them I could see that they were creamy and very finely milled. I could not see a great amount of fall out too. The pigment of the eyeshadows is amazing. Even the matte ones came out pretty strong. I also especially loved some of the unique shades like Warm Notes that is a super pretty berry color with a pearly finish. As well as Infusion that looks like a very deep purple with a mixture of silver glitter. The eyeshadows did not crease even though I have pretty oily eyelids.
I was very happy with my first experience with the ZOEVA brand. The Cocoa Blend Palette is for sure going to be my favorite for the autumn. It is such a versatile palette, with a lot of options to create looks from everyday to a party.
MAKEUP LOOK: I used Warm Notes for the base. Freshly toasted for the crease. Beans are white on the outter cornes. And Infuion in the lowers lash line!
So what do you think about this palette? Do you like the ZOEVA brand? Also what else should I try?
