I strongly believe that if I have gotten ten euro every time I see a post or a video about LUSH I would have had enough to buy a chateau by now. But the thing is, that there is never smoke without fire, and LUSH always proves out to be relevant and interesting. This is why they are one of the most loved brands for bloggers and youtbers to talk/write about. I am not an exception from that rule and honestly I am happy to be with the crowds this time and on the LUSH supporters train.
Even though they have wonderful and unique products the thing, that I love the most is the way they choose to develop their brand. I enjoy someone who is not ready to do anything for the business and I am happy to know I am giving my money to a brand that is ethical and conscious about the environment and the animals.
But, you are not here to read me professing my love for LUSH (Or are you?).
LUSH CHARITY POT – I wanted to start with this product, because it was the one that I am most excited about. I love beauty and pampering and when it goes with doing some good I am all in. As they say:
You end up with velvety, beautifully-scented skin AND you’re doing a world of good with every pot purchased—nicely done!
Well, thank you Lush.
So what is the Lush Charity Pot all about? – It is rich, floral body and hand lotion that not only gives you a super soft skin , but also helps small, grassroots organizations working in the areas of environmental conservation, animal welfare and human rights.
What is it made of? – Olive Oil, Jojoba Oil, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Geranium Oil, Rosewood Oil, Ylang Ylang Oil, Fresh Aloe Vera from Kenya. Just look at all this goodness. This product surprised me as in my experience charity products tend to lack quality and the investment of time they need to be developed. But this cream is everything they promised and more. It is super hydrating. The texture is smooth and so pleasant to apply. Lush Charity Pot cream, sinks in the skin, leaving is moisturized and with a nice, lingering aroma of freshness. Also the small pot is very comfy quantity (45g/ 5 euro) so it is perfect for traveling.
How it is made?
LUSH JERSEY BOUNCE – This was next on my list with shampoos I wanted to try so I picked it up the moment I finished my BIG shampoo that I have already fallen in love with. I have somewhat of a curly hair. And since recently I fancy it with natural curls. So adding some bounce to them sounded just right to me. Lush did not disappoint and I have been rocking my natural hair with a smile on my face.
What is it made of? – Sea Salt for that volume and softness, Bergamot and Lemon oil for some deep cleansing, Lavender Oil to balance it all out and even some eggs for the cherry egg on the top.
The shampoo has a lovely, lemony aroma that smells natural and not artificial (yeak)) It leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean and shiny. The sea salt exfoliates the scalp for that extra deep cleansing. You need just a little bit to cover your hair in foamy, lemony goodness. In my opinion you do need to condition your hair after using it, since the sea salt might be a bit drying. But the after effect is a bouncy and volumes hair which I love. I choose the 300g/ 18, 95 euro, but there is the option of 130g/ 9, 95 euro.
LUSH SANDSTONE – Discovering this soap must have been the most exciting thing that happened to me in the shower for the last couple of months, which is kind of sad. But, I love every second of using this citrusy, scrubby soap. It helps me make my skin squeaky clean, and smells incredible. My whole house is filled with the aroma of Litsea Cubeba which gives it the lemony scent. It also has an antiseptic effect. Plus it saves me some money and time having to use an exfoliate. Score! I love the idea behind it:
It was inspired by babes on the beaches of Brazil who mix sand with tanning oil to make their backsides smooth as silk.
Definitely going to imagine myself on a Brazilian beach the next time I take a shower. You can do it for 100g/ 5, 25 euro.
Here you go – everything you need for a LUSH pampering session. Take a shower, surrounded by the fresh citrusy smells of the LUSH SANDSTONE SOAP and the LUSH JERSEY BOUNCE. Then top it all off with some LUSH CHARITY POT goodness and help them with some lovely causes.
What cause would you like to take part in if you could have a choice? I went for Yogi!
